May be required to perform postmortem examinations and descriptions which include: external exams in situ organ inspection evisceration dissection and dictation or recording data such as organ weights, presence of body fluids, etc., and gross anatomic findings. ![]() Prepares frozen sections for pathologist's interpretation and assists in processing samples for ancillary studies, e.g. This includes cutting bone specimen using bone saw. Selects and submits tissue sections for microscopic analysis. Performs gross description and complete dissection of all surgical pathology specimens and dictation of data including large cancer cases. Performs other related duties as required. May be required to perform postmortem examinations and descriptions.
